OUR LEATHER:

Our signature vegetable-tanned leather is created using age-old techniques.

We wanted to use eco-friendly leathers as much as possible and bring back some of the traditions that had been lost over the years to cater to mass production.

Vegetable tanning is the most environmentally friendly way to tan leather, there are no chemicals used respecting the environment due to the use of natural ingredients rather than chemicals. It is an astonishing process based on the use of natural tannins (sourced from tree bark, wood, leaves, fruits, and roots) Vegetable tanning creates a stiff, stylish, rustic feel the natural leather product that has to be broken in and cared for but will become more beautiful with use and age. The vegetable-tanned leather will last longer and looks better in the process.

Due to the natural manufacturing process that we use, the color of this item can be slightly lighter or slightly darker from what is seen in the picture, there may sometimes be small markings and/or scars on the leather bag, which should be unique characteristics rather than imperfections.
